Welcome to the heart of Downtown Apalachicola! This charming, renovated historic property stands ready to welcome you to downtown Apalachicola, Florida. A boutique Inn featuring four unique rooms, the Bowery Inn offers privacy and charm along with the convenience of a central location. The Bowery Inn is a self-catering facility without a permanent on-site operator. Daily in-room housekeeping services are not provided. The common area of the Inn is for our guest’s convenience with a refrigerator and sitting area. A Keurig coffee station and kcups are available in the kitchen. The Bowery Inn has been properly cleaned and sanitized and is taking the recommended steps as presented by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for cleaning, disinfecting and preparing your room for your arrival. We are following the protocols laid out by the CDC and using the EPA-approved disinfectants for Hard (non-porous) Surfaces, Soft (Porous) Surfaces and Electronics. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturer's guidelines. We are also stocking our Inn with essential disinfectants and supplies to follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to the Bowery Inn and hosting your stay. Please do not travel if sick. We encourage you to self-monitor for symptoms, follow advice from local authorities, and to seek medical assistance where possible/available.

The historic Bowery Inn Building, circa 1900, was home to a General Mercantile Business with a living space upstairs. It sat 40 years vacant and then was returned to its roots with a remarkable renovation completed in 2015. The structure exudes rustic charm from salvaged and reclaimed building material from Apalachicola. Each piece of wood and decor was hand selected and strategically placed to preserve the look and feel of the space as lived in and enjoyed by the generations that came before us.

Guests are able to enjoy a genuine “old fashioned” experience without the distractions of televisions or telephones, while being fully WiFi accessible. Viewing of the Apalachicola River and the downtown area can be enjoyed from over 1000 square feet of covered deck. The Inn is quietly nestled in the historic downtown Bowery District within walking distance of all shopping and nationally recognized restaurants.

Gorgeous! The inn is easy to find, check in is easy. the little shared kitchen was great for what we needed. Ran into other guests who were kind and helpful as well. well within walking distance of everything. we parked when we arrived and didn't move our vehicle until we left. The bed is massive and comfy. The large clawfoot tub was AMAZING. Clean and gorgeous. everything we could have wanted and more.

This place is in a beautifully restored older building. The room is pretty spacious. The bathroom did not have a lot of counter space, and the shower only fits one person, but everything was very nice. There was travel size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion provided. The wraparound porch which was accessible from the room, was very nice. This place is also walkable to almost everything in town.

The property manager was courteous and prompt in answering the phone when we had a question. This is quaint historic building with tasteful old furniture, within easy walking distance to all the downtown shops. There is a shared basic communal kitchen. There is no stove or microwave, but everything else you might need is there, such as dishes, silverware, coffeemaker, large sink for dishwashing, shared refrigerator, and a cute kitchen table for two. My sister and I sat at the kitchen table to play board games in the late evening. There is a washer and dryer room. All rooms are upstairs. Our room amenities included: roomy bathroom with tub and walk in shower, french doors that open onto the balcony that fronts the entire upstairs, rocking chairs included. Our bed was comfy.

We enjoyed our stay at Gorrie's Getaway. The room was exactly as described and met our needs for a two-night stay. We utilized the coffee pot, toaster and frig in the common room which is directly across from Gorrie's Getaway. We rarely saw or heard the other guests so it was not a problem. Thanks for a great weekend!

I had a great stay at the Bowery Inn! The place is beautiful, charming, and incredibly clean. The bed was cozy, and the views of the river were beautiful. I also enjoyed a nice hot bath at the end of a long day of travel. So glad I found this place for my night in Apalachicola!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's only about a block from shopping and restaurants. The accommodations are really quaint and comfortable, and we enjoyed having the common kitchen area. The first night we were there alone but other guests arrived after that. As expected for a building of this age you could hear quite a bit from other rooms even when everyone was being pretty quiet - but they provided a white noise machine which worked perfectly and we slept great. I would only suggest adding a microwave in the kitchen. Thanks for a great stay! We really enjoyed our time in Apalachicola!

Man kann also problemlos frühstücken. Das Bett war sehr bequem und die Aussicht von der Veranda toll. Würde jederzeit wieder hierher kommen.

Great location. Very quiet. The porch is fantastic! It has the usual characteristics that you would expect from an old historic building, but with a touch of class. The bed is awesome, and the entire suite is roomy and open feeling because of the large windows.

Great stay in this quaint inn - direct access to the porch was so nice. Bed was super comfy and I loved the chance to take a bath in the soaking tub (I’m 5’2” and it was a perfect fit). On the edge of the town but walking distance to all shops, restaurants, and venues. Looking for a sweet, quiet, delightful trip - this is the place. Very limited kitchen amenities so bring snacks and beverages!

Love the Bowery Inn but
We always love staying at the Bowery Inn but when we got there the front door looked like someone had tried to break in. It was honestly pretty unsettling this visit. We were afraid someone would attempt it again. On top of that one of the other guests staying there woke us up at 3am shouting and knocking on all the doors yelling "hello! Hello! Im trapped inside can someone let me out" Other than that wild experience this time around on our visit, we usually do enjoy staying here. Hopefully next time the front door will be fixed and the other guests will adhere to the quiet hours! ?
Summer - Posted: 8/29/2022
Oh my! Yes, we have replaced the front door and please accept our apology for the noisy guest. Hope you return and your next visit is better than any of your prior visit to the Bowery Inn.

If you like hotels with wall to wall carpeting and generic furnishings this place is NOT for you. This place: well worn wood floors...sand washed decor...sparse and clean...so good for getting away from the noisy, cluttered world. Sitting in a rocker on the deck watching fish jump....feeling the warm bay breeze...WONDERfuL.

Wonderful stay at The Bowery
The Bowery district was a perfect place to extend our vacation. Gorrie’s Getaway was very spacious, with a large claw foot tub and all the amenities you need for a quiet stay. The antique hardware and original building details were beautiful! The shared porch was nice, but even though this room came with a private entrance, other guests sat in front of our windows and doors each morning so be prepared and keep the curtains closed! Looking forward to staying again.

We stayed in Corries Getaway and it was a great room. I loved the claw foot tub and taking baths. There was also a shower for my husband which he prefers. There was plenty of parking for our SUV and our boat which is a huge plus. Some of the other places like this downtown don’t have as good of parking. It’s like a five or so minute walk to the heart of downtown. Just wear decent shoes and you’re good. It’s easy to drive around though too. Parking isn’t too bad in this little town. We will be back!!!

Our stay was just about perfect. The location was on the edge of town which made sitting on the porch rocking chairs so quiet and peaceful. The room lent itself to a bygone era of elegant simplicity. The king size bed was so cozy and the bathroom was just lovely due to the many windows which let in the coastal light. The location made walking around Apalachicola very easy. We loved the shops and restaurants, especially the Owl Cafe and Up the Creek. The whole experience was just delightful!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay even though it rained off and on during our stay. Every place was within walking distance. Veterans Park, Botanical Garden, bars and restaurants. The whole downtown is easy walking with plenty of shops to keep you busy. The waterfront and long piers stretching out in the water at the park under the bridge were refreshing with constant breezes. The accommodations left nothing to desire. Rooms and bath quaint. Kitchen used throughout visit for coffee, snacks and cold beer which we consumed on the wrap around porch. Great views, breezes. Very quiet location but minutes to anything you wanted to do.
