Livin' the Dream

Date of stay - 11/19/16This was our second time staying in this beautiful home. The first time was in 2015, we were one of the first guests:) We've stayed all over the gulf coast and east coast, but this is the best! We've found our home away from home in Livin' the Dream. We honestly can't imagine staying anywhere else now! We're coming back once (maybe twice) in 2017!! We never thought we'd enjoy the bay views as much as beach side, but it is now our favorite. We love the pool, the lighthouse, peaceful neighborhood and all over relaxing setting. If you ever decide to sell, let us know:)

Date of stay - 6/10/17 The property manager was more than helpful in finding us this great home for the week. Livin' the Dream is a beautiful beach house. The decor is perfect for a gulf vacation. The house is thoughtfully done and is a great home away from home. The decks were great for reading & drinking coffee. The gated community was quiet and safe, with attractive landscaping.

Wonderful house, well equipped, in great condition and lovely decorated. We enjoyed our time very much !The location is perfect between the Gulf and the Bay. Enjoyed kayaking in the bay, so much to discover.Will be back for sure!Note: The pictures are not staged, the house is as nice as it shows in the pictures.

Beautiful home was a perfect setting for a very relaxing vacation during COVID. The house was in a beautiful gated community. It had beautiful views of the bayside. Easy access to the beautiful beaches. The house had a great layout and is perfect for multiple families. The rental company was great to work with they addressed our issues in a timely manner. Would definitely use them again!

This was our 9th year on the cape...we always stayed on the ocean side... was worried about bayside...but it worked GREAT. Our teenage son and friend fished the entire time, just a short walk from our door... and the beach was literally right across the street. House was great! Only thing...communication was sort of a problem. The house only had a landline that was upstairs. We had a TV/sound problem we called about...and I guess the cell reception didnt work on the number(s) we left and they returned the call on the land line. We were downstairs, so by the time we notice the phone ringing upstairs, it was too late. Also, had an A/C guy show up to replace a coil on AC unit... which didnt seem broken..but he had his orders... Told him it was fine...but like I say we didnt know anything about him showing up. Also, on saturday we were told there would be a guy coming monday AM to repair a bathroom door. That was fine...but as far as we know he never showed up. Other than that stuff... it was awesome. Definitely would rent this unit/bay side again.

This house is gorgeous and so well laid-out! Each morning we would watch the sunrise over the bay drinking our coffee on the porch. It is a very short walk to the beach. I can see why this is called the forgotten coast! The beautiful white sand beaches were never crowded, and the water was so clear. We had a great sandbar about 20 yards out that the kids played on as long as we would let them! This beach is the perfect place to hang out and have a fire while you watch the sunset. I think our kids had just as much playing in the bay as they did at the beach, though! On the bay side is a beautiful pool house to go from swimming in the pool to catching hermit crabs in the bay. We were just a little too early for scallop season this year but found several that we threw back while we were playing in ankle deep water in the bay. Then the kids would catch frogs at night as we walked back to the house from the bay. The restaurants in this area are apparently known for oysters, shrimp and scallops, so we ate out most nights to try the different famous local places. The oysters were crazy-good at all 3 local restaurants we visited! This is our new favorite place in Florida given the beautiful beaches, amazing food, historic local towns and lack of heavy tourist traffic. And our kids had their best beach experience! Livin' the Dream was perfectly situated between the beach and the bay as we enjoyed both sides of the cape.

We are so glad you enjoyed "Livin' The Dream" if only for just a week. This all around perfect beach house and it's location make it easy to have the best of the beach and the bay. Being able to enjoy a fiery sun sink slowly behind the bay and then give a light show like no other is one amazing sight we are so happy you were able to take in on our Forgotten Coast.
