First time visitors to the Cape

By: Trip Date: 10/05/2019

We had a wonderful family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The only complaint I have is that 2 of the bathrooms had windows over the toilet without curtains or coverings of any type! The windows gave the tall houses behind us a clear view of the shower and toilet ! We arrived late the first night so maintenance brought temporary curtains the next morning. There were no curtain rods so we did our best to get them to drape over the windows . Cape and Coast were wonderful to deal with!

Wonderful vacation!!

The house was in an incredible location. Right on the beach. We could sit on the porch and it was just like sitting on the beach. The house had ample room for all of us and we enjoyed the large kitchen. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Great house…..wish it had an elevator but otherwise no complaints.

Another Great Vacation at the Cape

By: Trip Date: 05/13/2018

We had a wonderful stay at Happy Days this year. This was our second stay at this property. This was my first stay with Cape and Coast. We noticed several changes from the previous rental company. The rental process was easy and convenient. The property is located in a great area. Overall we love coming to Cape San Blas and will return.

July 4th Week

By: Trip Date: 06/30/2018

Property description was accurate. Spacious, comfortable house and great location across from market and shops.
House was generally clean and well-maintained. A few maintenance issues popped up, Management was polite and quick to respond, handling most of them unobtrusively when we reported them. Especially most important one- the AC! 🙂 These things can happen anywhere.

Lots of wildlife. On the last night, we saw a Loggerhead Turtle lay it’s eggs under supervision of volunteer conservationists. After a light rain, saw a sting ray leap completely out of the water about a quarter mile out while kayaking. Lots of dolphins, crabs, fish.

Pool and “hot tub” were fine, though the pool was warmer than the hot tub. Didn’t use either of them much.

Provisions restaurant and Joe Mama’s pizza in PSJ were great.

Had a lot of fun riding with Rockin’ M Ranch folks again this time. Very competent and so friendly and horses are obviously well-cared for.

Rental gear credit was helpful and issue-free.

Overall, a great stay. Thankfully, the house is much closer to the beach than a lot of others on the Cape or Pass. Beach is till plenty deep for hanging out and activities. Not crowded at all, unlike 30A. Would recommend

Stunning Gulf Views

By: Trip Date: 07/07/2018

Happy Hours was perfect for our “Cape San Blas loving” family! The “grands” and their parents enjoyed the beautiful beach and clear gulf waters. The house was very clean and bed linens and towels were of good quality. Thank you for the complimentary bath samples and the prompt response to my inquiry about the baby highchair and crib. Y’all helped make our stay even more pleasant!
I would highly recommend this house for any beach loving family!5

Sibling trip

By: Trip Date: 09/08/2018

Excellent location. The combined living/dining/kitchen space was much bigger than I thought by the pictures. Very clean. Shorter walkway to the beach than I expected also. Didn’t give it a five star only because the outdoor seating furniture could use an update. Couple of chairs bend way back on screened porches and the upstairs deck could benefit from new cushions since sets are wrought iron and hard with thin cushions. Overall, given the positives, we would stay here again.

We did not want our “Happy Hours” to be over!

What a beautiful home just steps from the beach. The only improvement that we could recommend would be to have the screens and door on the porch repaired.

Spring Break 2019

By: Trip Date: 03/30/2019

My family visited Cape San Blas with family friends for spring break. We visited Cape San Blas last year and for the first time and fell in love and though worried about the state of the Cape after the hurricane, couldn’t deny the want to get back. We were happy with Happy Hours’ proximity to the beach (we could step off the stairwell from the house ONTO the sand – realize this is a product of the hurricane), size of the house and how easy it was to get to several of CSB’s local businesses. The $250 beach gear stipend was a huge bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking with the dolphins each morning and riding our bike to get donuts! While the effects of the hurricane are certainly visible on the Cape, the house was in good shape and our stay was in no way affected. If you have any hesitation about visiting CSB, please go! The beach is still beautiful, the donuts are still delicious and the people are just as wonderful as ever!

Wonderful Sea Turtle Experience

By: Trip Date: 05/17/2019

First trip to Cape San Blas for our family. We have been to the Destin area for 20 years and finally desired to move on and avoid the large crowds. This area and beaches were fantastic, quaint and ideal for our sense of adventure. On our last night, we had a sea turtle appear out of the mysterious ocean and build a nest 30 yards from our beach front home. It was a wonderful experience.
