Great getaway from the crowds. We were looking for a peaceful vacation and this location delivered. No condos or hotels, just the homes and the beach life.

Nice property. Clean. Well stocked kitchen although slightly cramped. All bedrooms nice, loved the ice machine and extra refrigerator on bottom level. The outdoor shower was nice, too. New grill and nice pool. Very nice proximity to the beach as well. Area not very developed but that is what we were looking for. Would rent again.

We had a wonderful time. The house and location were perfect for a quiet, relaxing family vacation (three generations). I was really impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked (cooking and serving dishes and utensils). The rental company was very responsive to all issues and requests. We hated to leave, and would definitely return.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cape and Coast always comes through. When our normal rental was not available, they found this well maintained jewel for us. The views were magnificent and the property was well appointed. Our only complaints were the difficulty with a couple of sliding glass doors and the condition of the deck furniture upstairs.....other than that a PERFECT stay!!

The beach views were fabulous from every room. Red Tide was pretty bad but they scraped the beach several times and fortunately we had the enclosed pool area and were able to make the best of it. This was our 16th year going to the area and Beach Retreat is now our favorite!

We loved our stay! We love this area but never stayed in true Indian Pass. Having the heated pool was amazing for the kids since 2 days were too windy and chilly for the beach. The bedrooms were spacious for our 4 adults and 3 boys (ages 6-8). The kitchen had everything we needed and the extra fridge downstairs were such a bonus. The men loved having the ice maker downstairs for their fishing coolers. The beach was amazing, so close, very peaceful. We fished and played in the surf. Then on our last night did a fire on the beach. We ate all of our meals at the two tables on the patio with an ocean view which was great! One of the people in our group was trying to figure out how to buy the house, haha.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th stay in this area for the month of February and the 2nd year in this rental. Beach Retreat is spacious and well appointed. The beds are comfortable with quality linens. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, we had absolutely everything we needed. Because of the pandemic we cooked in almost exclusively. Unfortunately we found many restaurants we scouted to dine at with a maskless staff. This was also our 2nd year with Cape and Coast. In all honesty, the follow up was not as good this year as last year. We wanted to rent for 6 weeks next year. I called a couple times trying to get the rate and no one could help, not even a guesstimate. We were not comfortable renting without knowing the cost, understandable. We did some research and locked in another rental for 6 weeks, they were able to provide us with the information we needed. I think Cape and Coast dropped the ball, we would have definitely rented with them had they been able to accommodate us. After we left we did get an email saying they could help us find a property if they couldn’t accommodate us... a little late.
As far as Beach Retreat, we would rent it again, the views are unmatched and the owners have it nicely furnished.
One other small improvement.... it would be thoughtful and not very expensive to leave more toilet paper and more than 1 dishwasher pod for longer staying guests. The dishwasher was set on quick wash and several times I did need to rewash the dishes. I get saving energy, but in this case, maybe a choice for those heavier loads, which we waited until we had full loads. We ended up leaving extra toilet paper and paper towels which hopefully the next renters could use.
A lot of these things are minor, I realize that, but it’s the little things that count.
Hope this helps, again, Beach Retreat is a great property that we would definitely consider in the future!

Hi Gloria! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Beach Retreat, it is a fantastic home! In regards to rates for the following year, our reservations team provided the cost for the 4-week monthly rental as your first right of refusal for 2022. Unfortunately, we do not provide a 6-week monthly special option, so the additional dates you were looking for would be at a weekly rate. It is standard for all weekly rates to become available approximately one year and one month out, so March 2022 rates will not become available until the end of March 2021. We are always glad to place a temporary hold on a specific week until rates become available, but we do not provide guestimates for cost. As noted in your arrival instructions, we do provide a starter pack of toiletries, paper towel, and 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom to get you through the first night or two, however, it is up to guests to bring or purchase necessary items for the remainder of the stay. We would love to host your stay in the future and please don't hesitate to reach out to us for any assistance with booking!

We had a great time in this unit with just myself, my wife and her brother. We had not been anywhere since March and needed some beach time. Beach retreat fit the bill perfectly. The beach was not crowded at all and social distancing came without even having to think about it. The unit has everything you need for a wonderful stay.

The proximity to the beach is ideal and the beach was not crowded at all. The pool was perfect. The screened porches were great for avoiding the mosquitos at night. The house was clean and well kept. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds slept good! And the ice maker may have been our favorite amenity! It is a close drive to Apalachicola, Cape San Blas and Port St. Joe. This was our 3rd trip to the forgotten coast, the first time at this house. We loved it enough to book next year. Lots of space, comfortable beds and every thing you could need . Beach Retreat is well organized and well equipped. I would highly recommend this place and Cape and Coast, they were great to deal with and easy to communicate with.

The addition of the elevator and screened-in dining area on the second floor are a plus! We love the location and always enjoy eating in (kitchen is very well supplied with anything you need) and spending as much time as possible on the beach and in the pool. The house was immaculate, and well-maintained. The only things that could have been improved upon would be the addition of a gate to the downstairs deck (there was one there before). I only say this, because we had little ones with us. And the furniture in the downstairs master bedroom needs updating. The drawers kept coming out of the dresser (no tracks), which could be dangerous. Everything else was wonderful! We don't know how hurricane Michael affected the property, but we will be back as soon as possible to our very favorite vacation spot!

Upon our arrival, I was disappointed to find that the elevator did not work, I called to report this and they sent someone out on Sunday to look at it, unfortunately, he could not fix it. He had to call someone else and they came and fixed it on Monday, this was a bit of an inconvenience as my husband has had several back surgeries. The house was very, very clean. The pool was very enjoyable after time on the beach, which really is a very short walk. The outdoor shower with hot and cold water was a hit. We love this area and being so close to the Raw Bar was great. The kitchen was very well stocked and the ice maker downstairs was great! From the app that Cape and Coast had sent me to download, I found Chef Ian from Your Table, Your Chef. My husband and I really enjoyed a wonderful dinner before our kids and grands arrived. I highly recommend this house and would likely book it again and I definitely would use Cape and Coast again.

I wish the check in could have been before 5:00 on Saturday, but it sure was clean!!! No cell service for A T & T but that was quite workable.

Beach Retreat had perfect accommodations, great views, kids love the pool. Also the fire pit was nice...except for the mosquitoes. The other thing negative but good in a way we did not have ATT cell phone service but had all other providers. Would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the property management team (Heather)she was so helpful in planning our stay!! Can wait to return to this beautiful beach!!

The furnishings in this home are gorgeous, beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of room indoors and outdoors for everyone. We spent the mornings at the beach and the afternoons at the pool. The proximity to the beach is closer than any home I've stayed in. No need to bring a lot of stuff to the beach because a trip to the house is so easy. The first couple days, the water was a murky brown color, but cleared up for the last 4 days, water clarity depends on how much rain they've had. Most nights were spent on the screened in porches because the mosquitos are thick. We utilized the fire pit one night to make s'mores for the kids. All sorts of vehicles drive on the beach. Sunday had lots of beach traffic, but it was minimal during the week. Tons and tons of shells to search through! A walk down the beach to the Money Bayou was neat to go and check out. The elevator came in handy when bringing in groceries and luggage for the week. The second refrigerator and ice maker are bonuses!! Loved that there is a beach view from every room. Only thing I couldn't find was an iron (and who needs that when you're at the beach?!) Amazing, beautiful property. Would return without question. We were traveling with a total of 8 adults (4 couples)and one child and the house was perfectly set up for our three generation family. We could keep my in-laws on the first floor and with the outside elevator, they never needed to take the stairs. Additionally, there was a great balance between privacy and community space. We were even able to keep our sliding doors open at night and enjoy the ocean sounds and Gulf breezes thanks to the screened in porch. I was worried that my adult children would not have enough to do as this is definitely more remote than we are used to in Destin, but there were so many places to go that were 10-25 minutes away including Cape San Blas, St. George, Apalachicola, St. Joseph Peninsula, etc. What really surprised me, though, was how much my family enjoyed just staying put and enjoying the beautiful beach, house and pool with activities that we can't do on most beaches like campfires and horseback riding. The daily finds on the beach were also a big hit for my family. We were able to find shells as big as our hands as well as to sand dollars, starfish, and crabs. The house is fully equipped and well maintained. We spent the week trying to determine if there was a single thing the owner could do to improve this rental and the only thing we could think of would potentially be a hammock or a swing. We honestly could not think of a single other thing. This place really has everything. The property managers have a seamless process and the app that we were provided was fantastic. We only reached out one time on our visit (via the app) with a question and we received a friendly response in less than 5 minutes. Excellent service and very well managed. We are frequent visitors to the Gulf and this is now definitely at the top our family's list for both rental and location.

Quiet, secluded for much needed R&R from busy, congested cities! Our children and grandchildren loved it, as did we! It is over-the-top with amenities, fire pit, pool, large screen TV in all bedrooms, Upscale appliances include ice maker and laundry facilities, wow! We were very pleased and enjoyed our retreat from everyday life pressures!

This was our fourth year staying at Beach Retreat, and we have booked again for 2018. Patty, I did indeed fine a kettle toward the end of our stay! It was tucked way back at the lower cupboard - where the dog's supplies are. So, thank you for getting me the sweet little tea kettle! The only thing that we might suggest if the owners are looking for feedback is that the removal of the shag carpeting might be an option in the future....both for hygienic reasons (easier to clean, freer from dog hair, et.) and for design appeal. "Beach Retreat" is a nice gulf front home which has been beautifully maintained. It is not like your typical rental! The gulf views are amazing. The beds, pillows, and linens are compfy and there are plenty of towels! The kitchen has all the accessories we needed. There is lots of light and tall windows. Upstairs, there are three bedroom and two baths which came in very handy for sons. The upstairs screened in porch off the bedrooms is very soothing at night for the ocean sounds. The pool is warm enough to swim in when heated even in December! The short walkway from the house to the beach is a dream. We even saw dolphins swimming in the gulf from the first-floor deck. The cable TV didn't work when we arrived. We called the rental office and satellite TV was installed two days later. The rental agency was nice and happy to help us. We would definitely stay with them and at "Beach Retreat" again!

This house provides everything you would need and also what you couldn't imagine you would need. Great location, clean, views to die for....The most relaxing vacation I have had in years. Convenient and the list goes on. Rental company was so easy to work with, answered any questions we had. It was awesome! Would recommend this doesn't get better than this.
