Happy Hours

We love Cape San Blas and our entire family goes every year. We skipped last year due to us going to Exuma, Bahamas but Happy Hours is a great way to enjoy our family vacation. Happy Hours was clean when we arrived and when we needed something taken care of, Cape and Coast took care of it. The internet was fast and reliable. We loved the open concept kitchen where the whole family ate together. The house is large enough for the 12 of us. We also had two new members of the family but they slept in their parents room. The beach front was spectacular. The screened porch kept the flies out. The convenience store across the street is great for ice cream after dinner and ice when we needed it fast. Happy Hours has all we needed and we will be back!

The location of the home was wonderful. We loved the home especially since all the adult bedrooms had private bathrooms attached. The common area was big enough for our large family. The walk to the beach was short and there was lots of beach in front of the home.

We enjoyed our stay, despite Tropical Storm Fred ruining one day. It was interesting to watch tho. House was updated nicely & very clean! Sorry, but we hated the screened in porch on the main floor. It ruined our view of the beach & water which why we go to the beach. We thgt it was superfluous as the bugs were very minimal on the Gulf side.

The restaurants in Port St Joe have a nice selection and the Piggly Wiggky is well stocked. The beach house was perfect for our families needs and nicely appointed.

My only suggestion would be to restock with kitchen with more utensils and maybe a few more mixing bowls and a pitcher for tea or lemonade. Lots of room and the bedrooms were all perfect!

We had the best vacation. The house was big, beautiful, and clean! The view was amazing and right on the beach. We loved having the screened in porch. We had two BR fans that were inoperable, along with the kitchen stove exhaust,turned in to maintenance on first day.. but never repaired on our visit. The refrig door shelves and freezer shelves were missing which made it tough to store all our food. Overall a beautiful house and location. Screened in porch was very nice. Would definitely return and recommend this property!

Only 1 set of stairs down for all the houses on Clifton.

We enjoyed our stay at Happy Hours. Location is great with a nice boardwalk to beach. Kitchen is fully equipped but didn't have any extras like salt & pepper, foil, plastic wrap or storage containers. I was surprised to find a Keurig! Master bedroom upstairs is nice and bathroom is huge and good shower pressure too! Couch in living room could use an upgrade, very soft in middle. Had a couple of minor maintenance issues but Cape and Coast took care of promptly.

Just a few things we felt should’ve been in better shape for the price of the rental but gulf location was great. There was a section of screen missing on screened in porch so mosquitoes got in. The outside wasn’t cleaned after prior renters. There were cigarette butts on the screened in porch and beer cans under the steps. Other trash laying around property that we cleaned up. No major issues just small things that the cleaning company should be doing and that the rental company should be making sure happens especially in a pandemic.

Nice, clean house right on the gulf! We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach in this lovely house. Other than a couple of broken things like a front porch chair and outside the window, the house was perfect! We definitely recommend? this place!!

My family visited Cape San Blas with family friends for spring break. We visited Cape San Blas last year and for the first time and fell in love and though worried about the state of the Cape after the hurricane, couldn't deny the want to get back. We were happy with Happy Hours' proximity to the beach (we could step off the stairwell from the house ONTO the sand - realize this is a product of the hurricane), size of the house and how easy it was to get to several of CSB's local businesses. The $250 beach gear stipend was a huge bonus and we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking with the dolphins each morning and riding our bike to get donuts! While the effects of the hurricane are certainly visible on the Cape, the house was in good shape and our stay was in no way affected. If you have any hesitation about visiting CSB, please go! The beach is still beautiful, the donuts are still delicious and the people are just as wonderful as ever!

The only improvement that we could recommend would be to have the screens and door on the porch repaired. Once the sun went down we were attacked by mosquitos.

Excellent location. The combined living/dining/kitchen space was much bigger than I thought by the pictures. Very clean. Shorter walkway to the beach than I expected also. Didn't give it a five star only because the outdoor seating furniture could use an update. Couple of chairs bend way back on screened porches and the upstairs deck could benefit from new cushions since sets are wrought iron and hard with thin cushions. Overall, given the positives, we would stay here again.

House was generally clean and well-maintained. A few maintenance issues popped up (broken patio chairs upon arrival, AC went out upstairs, smoke alarm low battery beeping, sewage system alarm outside sounding, clogged drain in shower). Little bit of a sewage smell when walking close to the outdoor shower some days, not overpowering. Management was polite and quick to respond, handling most of them (sewage alarm never silenced, cleaned shower drain ourselves- didn't report this to them I don't think) unobtrusively when we reported them. Especially most important one- the AC! :) These things can happen anywhere, and other than having to sleep downstairs one night, didn't really damper our fun. Lots of wildlife. On the last night, we saw a Loggerhead Turtle lay it's eggs under supervision of volunteer conservationists. After a light rain, saw a sting ray leap completely out of the water about a quarter mile out while kayaking. Lots of dolphins, crabs, fish. Pool and "hot tub" were fine, though the pool was warmer than the hot tub. Didn't use either of them much. Provisions restaurant and Joe Mama's pizza in PSJ were great. Had a lot of fun riding with Rockin' M Ranch folks again this time. Very competent and so friendly and horses are obviously well-cared for. Rental gear credit was helpful and issue-free. Overall, a great stay. Thankfully, the house is much closer to the beach than a lot of others on the Cape or Pass. Beach is till plenty deep for hanging out and activities. Not crowded at all, unlike 30A. Would recommend for
