Shore Daze

We had the best time at Shore Daze! It did rain us off the beach a couple days but the beach house was beautiful and it was everything the website said it would be! Sitting on the front deck watching was one of our favorite parts. It was the perfect week for our girls trip! Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house with us and our 2 dogs!

Shore Daze is absolutely GORGEOUS! We loved the proximity to the beach as it made it so much easier to get set up out on the beach. The outdoor shower was so nice and refreshing. We loved spending the evenings out on the back deck listening to the waves and watching these amazing sunsets. The stairs on the back were slanted and coming out - I'm sure from storms, so we used another walkway to the beach. The weather was absolutely perfect for us the entire week. A picture perfect beach week! We did have red flags a few days. Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach house with us and our pups!

Shore Daze Owners - I just want to express the joy and appreciation our family feels for you. What a glorious week we have experienced. Family bonding and healing was a result of spending time beach front, walking on the sands of time and listening to the beautiful ocean sounds as we enjoyed the evening sunsets from the deck. Thank you for sharing your beach home with our family. We had such a wonderful week and loved every day on the beach. Found lots of seashells and saw dolphins tail slap their way across the water and even saw a squid! Rented pontoon boat at PSJ and drove it out to the park - highlight of our trip. We love the art and Fiestaware. Discovered the ice maker on day 2- Super handy! Thanks again for a terrific place to stay.

Shelling , dolphins, pelicans, shark fisherman, kites, strolls on beautiful sand and all comforts of home . Seafood options nearby very delicious! And great little shops close by. We’re very pleased with our choice of shore daze !

Loved it! Soo close to the beach! The open layout is Fabulous! We were a group of 7, plus a sweet spaniel. We enjoyed cooking every night, were very comfortable & loved having the store easy to walk to! The only problem was - we bring our boat to scallop & fish. My husband, who is very practiced and good at backing - had a real struggle getting the boat down the driveway. He had to block both lanes to get the correct angle to straighten and back down. I hope I can convince him it was worth it and stay there again next year!! We have been coming to the Cape for many years and this was all of our favorite house!! If it weren't for the boat we would want to stay there every year.

This property was perfect for much needed R&R. Convenient to local grocery (walking distance) and short drive to restaurants but away from local traffic. Property is steps to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised to find the property had a variety of spices available for meal preparation.

We were positively blown away with Shore Daze! We picked this rental based off the online pictures and location. While I understand and support the beach renovation, i asked specifically if our house would be affected, was told no by the property manager. however, on Monday night the bulldozers had the beach shut down in front of the house. The property manager stated she could credit us one day, I wanted 2 days or I would leave and that would credit me the rest of the week. They chose to credit me. So we left on Wednesday morning. You would think as a, property manager, you would want to see what the condition of your property’s and beaches are, these people did not until I told them they would be refunding 1/2 of our stay.

Please remember that we sent out several notices regarding the re-nourishment project, it's projected schedule, and the strong possibility for changes and delays. Unfortunately, the project schedule changed several times that week due to equipment failures and weather conditions, as it was originally not supposed to impact your week. Despite the hours of tracking that we put into this, we were at the mercy of the contractor. We are grateful to have a completed new beach that will serve our community for years to come. Many updates including all of the bathrooms since we first stayed in 2016. The addition of the outdoor shower made washing off from the beach a breeze. Updated kitchen was also a plus. Perfect size for 3 small families with a perfect room for bunking up the kids. We plan on making this our “go-to” spot for years to come! Only small suggestion would be to add/complete a walkway with pavers from the laundry room to avoid tracking in sand while collecting laundry.

Thank you for your suggestion. To update you, pavers will not be needed. Even though Hurricane Michael destroyed the concrete under the house, it has all been replaced and the sand is no longer an issue.

From the moment we selected ShoreDaze last June 2018, we have received wonderful service from Cape &Coast Vacation Rentals...helpful folks in the office, on-line convenience, and the Hospitality app for information and communication. The house! ShoreDaze is beautifully furnished with beach colors and furniture. The kitchen is incredibly stocked with dishes, pots/pans, appliances and a myriad of utensils! We found the beds to be very comfortable, an important thing on vacation. We loved the newly rebuilt deck and screened porch, but what we really enjoyed was the space UNDER the house. We could set up our chairs and hammocks in the shade and enjoy the breeze. No umbrella or canopy needed. The house is close enough to the water to allow us to watch the kids playing without having to be right on top of them. This was the perfect home for our group of ten (4 kids) and we’re already discussing another stay there! We were with walking distance of The Trading Post, Shoobies, Peachy’s, and the PSJ Shrimp Company, and a 15 minute drive to the State Park for pontoon boat rental and ConeHeads. We were also able to ride horses on the beach.

The location was perfect - midway up the peninsula so easy access to restaurants at Port St. Joe and to the State park. Just a few steps down to the ocean so easy to run back inside for lunch or a drink. We enjoyed stand up paddle boarding with the equipment provided with our rental. We also spent some time hiking/bird watching at the state park (although a little hot and buggy in August), booked a sunset horseback ride on the beach, and spent one day in Apalachicola. And we brought our bikes and rode several mornings before it got too hot on the Loggerhead Run Bike Path. I would definitely recommend this home and Cape and Coast Vacations Rentals.

The house is beautifully decorated. The modern kitchen is equipped with everything needed for those who like to cook. There are sufficient dishes and silverware for a big group. They have also provided enough unbreakable items for children. Shore Daze is centrally located on the peninsula with easy access to convenience stores. The deck furniture is of better quality than we have typically found in other rentals. Be sure to download the Hospitality app as it provides direct access to Cape and Coast Vacation Rentals. Cape and Coast is very responsive to any questions or needs you may have. We look forward to occupying this rental again next year. This was the third year in a row that we've rented it (although an illness kept us from being able to come down last year) The renovation was gorgeous. We're glad you kept the screened in table area. We used that a lot. The grandkids loved that we were right on the beach and spent a lot of time there. My wife was born and raised in Port St. Joe, so we're familiar with the area. We always make a day of it in Apalachicola. This year we drove to Carrabelle and enjoyed that area. We like that the area is still somewhat undeveloped. That makes it a quiet getaway. You may have to go to Panama City for movies or entertainment but if that's not your thing, you can stay home, on the beach, with the nice weather and nice breeze. There are not a ton of eating places, but St. Joe seems to be adding to what's there. We liked the Sunset Coastal Grill, Crazyfish and Peppers. Apalachicola has the Grill and a place we liked, Up The Creek. Toucan's on Mexico Beach is a local ICON. there are quite a few I didn't mention. Overall loved the cottage and had a great time and hope to make next year our 4th visit

We're glad you kept the screened in table area. We used that a lot. The grandkids loved that we were right on the beach and spent a lot of time there. My wife was born and raised in Port St. Joe, so we're familiar with the area. We always make a day of it in Apalachicola. This year we drove to Carrabelle and enjoyed that area. We like that the area is still somewhat undeveloped. That makes it a quiet getaway. You may have to go to Panama City for movies or entertainment but if that's not your thing, you can stay home, on the beach, with the nice weather and nice breeze. There are not a ton of eating places, but St. Joe seems to be adding to what's there. We liked the Sunset Coastal Grill, Crazyfish and Peppers. Apalachicola has the Grill and a place we liked, Up The Creek. Toucan's on Mexico Beach is a local ICON. there are quite a few I didn't mention. Overall loved the cottage and had a great time and hope to make next year our 4th visit

The kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck watching the dolphins, and being steps away from the beach. We would definitely stay again. My only complaint was the pillows, they were flat and lumpy.
