We had a great time at Sweetwater Villa. The house was clean and I’m working order. Location was perfect for crabbing and wildlife and great beach access for the golf cart down the road. Only negatives were the windows are super tinted so it always felt dark (we were there a month). We would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at Sweetwater Villa. The house was clean and I’m working order. Only negatives were the windows are super tinted so it always felt dark (we were there a month), broke my foot the first day because the steps blend in with the decking. We would definitely stay again.

Best deck of any home I've stayed in the last 13 years down in PSJ/IP/CSB. The decks are screened and therefore the no-see-ums leave you alone in the morning and evening for coffee and drinks. The sunsets and moon are a full 180 view with no blockage. Gorgeous! Firepit is a great addition as well as the hot tub. We really enjoyed the lower deck and grill and spent a lot more time there than I would have expected. Quiet and peacful...great place. Beautful decor and CLEAN!!!

One point to notice...two major sets of stairs to navigate. There is no elevator on property.

Regarding the use of the private boardwalk, we are going to get with the owner about getting a sign put up, in hopes this will deter any families that are not staying at the home from using the boardwalk. We look forward to seeing the family again soon!

Very well laid out home for multi-families. Loved the large common area and the porches. Grill and outdoor furniture was very nice. The house was great! The A/C had a little trouble keeping up but that was they only issue we had. It was consistently about 80 degrees inside. However, the water was the color of really strong ice tea. We knew that a fresh water source ran in near by but we had no idea it would make the water so brown. Luckily, the Cape San Blas public beach is pretty close and we were able to enjoy crystal clear water there.

Very quiet and private beach and not a lot of people. We sat on the beach each day. Was able to leave our chairs and umbrella out all day even when we walked back to the house for a bite to eat. One day we saw a school of dolphins swim by. Enjoyed late walks up and down the beach under the moonlight. Loved sitting in the hot tub at night looking out onto the beach. My wife and family are already asking when we can go back.

We had an amazing time. Our 2nd day we needed to stay in due to Tropical Storm Ida. We felt very safe in the house as the storm passed. House was large with lots of rooms to sleep or get away. Very quiet and private beach and not a lot of people. We sat on the beach each day. Was able to leave our chairs and umbrella out all day even when we walked back to the house for a bite to eat. One day we saw a school of dolphins swim by. Enjoyed late walks up and down the beach under the moonlight. Loved sitting in the hot tub at night looking out onto the beach. The house was great. Good location on a very quiet beach in early March. Inside was clean and had everything we needed. The screened in decks were spacious and offered a great view. The fire pit and hot tub were key for early spring visit. We would book this place again.

The house sits toward the end of the block, so the beach is practically private. The hot tub was wonderful and we used it daily! The house itself was nicely decorated, all beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were updated. The house was very clean. Our only complaint was that the kitchen cabinets need updating. The slide out drawers are broken. There are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, but there were no cleaning products, so be sure to bring your own. All in all, it was a wonderful month, and we will gladly be returning to Sweetwater Villa!

Sweetwater Villa was just what we were looking for to get away from the crazy ness of the world! The house had all the space we needed for us, our two 20-something kids, and a boyfriend. And we even took our dogs, who occupied the screened porch most of the day! The screened porches are THE BEST...even when it was a little too chilly to sit on the beach we could still enjoy the warm sun! If your looking for a quiet, “away from it all� place to go...Port St Joe/Cape San Blas area is THE place.

It's so amazing to have your own private beach, and the views from both porches are incredible. The kitchen is amazingly well-stocked, and we actually enjoyed cooking while on vacation! The master bedroom bed was so soft and comfortable - we slept great every night.

The beach was perfect, and we enjoyed our daily sunset walks. The sand is so soft and silky. Some days the waves were calm/quiet, and other days they were quite large and crashing. We were surprised that so many cars drive up and down the beach - honestly probably saw more cars than we did people.

The night skies were incredible! I'm an amateur astronomer, and it was fabulous to see a sky with minimal light pollution. So many stars, and I enjoyed watching the Taurid meteor shower from the hot tub.

There's a small general store only one mile away, and downtown Port St. Joe is an easy 15-20 minute drive. The chinese food delivery was excellent! Unfortunately, most of the people who work in Port St. Joe do NOT wear masks despite the pandemic, but we did enjoy a couple of meals at KrazyFish Grille where they had a nice outdoor patio that welcomed dogs.

We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely recommend this house. I'm sure kids would just love the 2 rooms that have bunk beds.

My family of me, my husband, and 2 little dogs enjoyed this vacation home very much! It's so amazing to have your own private beach, and the views from both porches are incredible. The furnishings were nice quality and comfortable, and the house was clean upon check-in. The outdoor decks that are screened in were a bonus to keep out bugs. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful, and we used it daily. The view from the hot tub overlooks the ocean- very relaxing and beautiful. The only downside to this house is the houses are very close to each other, and on one side there is a pool which in our case the neighbors had late night pool parties. With good neighbors the close proximity of the houses wouldn't be a problem.

Just returned from a week of vacation and already thinking about when we can go back. This house was perfect in every way - great location, well stocked for cooking, great indoor and outdoor spaces, extremely well maintained, etc. My only complaint is the lack of window coverings in the living room area. We enjoyed the beach chair service and rented a golf cart for the week - a must have! We watched the beautiful sunsets every night and enjoyed checking out the crabs and bald eagles who live nearby. Can't wait to go back!
