What Can I Catch on the Forgotten Coast?

The best way to experience deep-sea fishing on Florida’s Forgotten Coast is with a federally licensed captain. Some trips take you out up to nine nautical miles to catch king mackerel, red snapper, black grouper, cobia, and mangrove snapper. Other trips can take 10 to 55 miles offshore to fish in the Gulf of Mexico for species like grouper, snapper, amberjack, cobia, mahi mahi, tripletail, mackerel, wahoo, and barracuda.

Book a Deep Sea Fishing Charter in Florida

Choose from several fishing charters departing from St. George Island, Mexico Beach, Cape San Blas, or Apalachicola. All of these charters provide everything you need for a successful day on the water, so all you need to do is show up and be ready to fish:

St. George Island Charters offers five and eight-hour deep-sea fishing charters where you can expect a combination of bottom fishing and trolling for a variety of big game. Catch redfish, tripletail, flounder, pompano, sea bass, and more.

Sign up for a 10-hour fishing charter with Apalachicola Fishing Company for an exhilarating day on the water. The 40-break trip takes you 45 to 55 miles off the coast to fish for grouper, snapper, and reef fish. Alternatively, the Deep Drop Trip takes you 75-100 miles offshore to catch giant tuna, wahoo, and swordfish.

Set out on an offshore fishing adventure with Capt. Wes McCall of Bay View Charters. Depart from St. George Island on a six or eight-hour adventure to catch grouper, snapper, mackerel, redfish, and more.
