This house is massive and well kept. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy views from every floor. Host and management company were both very responsive and addressed things quickly. The location can’t be beat being right on the water with kids. Highly recommend for family vacations!

What a fabulous property. We loved the heated community pool and the views of the beach made even rainy days amazing. We had 6 adults, 4 kids, & a toddler. The closet in the master bedroom made a great baby room! We loved looking for crabs at night, walking the beach, and exploring the restaurant in town. It was an amazing vacation!

We had a wonderful stay . House was great with lots of room to spread out and a beautiful view . Walk to the beach was so easy compared to where we have previously stayed on 30 A . St. George was peaceful and relaxing . The heated pool and elevator were a great asset as well !

Everything was great overall - there are just a few things that keep this from being a perfect 5-star rental. It just comes down to stocking some more of the essentials. There was a very limited supply of TP, paper towels, dish soap...etc - simply not enough for a week - you will need to pick these up before you arrive. Each room gets 2 bath towels and no beach towels. We loved staying on the east end - so much quieter, but if you are here during the high season, just be prepared that the units are pretty close together and when every one is on their decks, you can hear each other pretty clearly...

Seven family members enjoyed this spot for spring break. The kitchen is very well equipped with cooking gear and also plates, etc. There’s lots of room to spread out and the beach is right out the door. Be prepared to take paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent and shower soap. Also when we arrived there was no salt and pepper. That said, I would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful and spacious home. Lovely and comfortable furnishings. The owner, Sean, is wonderful and accommodating. The decks are amazing with panoramic views of the Gulf. Many times we looked out we could see dolphins jumping! The hot tub is so relaxing and clean. Just steps from a white sandy beach and the ocean shore. Tons of shells and crabs. What a fun and relaxing week!

The location of this property is ideal, right next to the park so not too many people on the beach and great walking all the way to the end of the island! The house is large and has a well stocked kitchen. I was very pleased to find sharp knives and a working food processor. Loved having an ice maker. The refrigerator is small for such a large house, but we cook more than most. Beds were comfortable. We saw dolphins, shore birds and pelicans about every day. All in all a great stay at this property!

My entire family comes to Saint George Island every other year. This was our first time at A Sandcastle. The house was VERY nice. We especially liked the "extras"-- the hot tub, ice maker, foosball table, elevator, bathroom as you come in from the beach, Keurig. We did have some trouble with the WIFI and the air conditioning, which were both addressed promptly by the owner. (The WIFI did remain spotty throughout the duration of our vacation.) The only "real" con was the close proximity of the next door condos. We probably wouldn't even have noticed this, but we have stayed at another location on Saint George Island that was a bit more isolated. All in all, it was a great place to stay.

Beautiful location and property with everything you need. House was clean, comfortable and right on the beach. Big bedrooms and kitchen and plenty of parking. Our family enjoyed the beach all day and at night with a fire and smores. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing vacation.

My family (2 adults, 2 teens) spent the Christmas holiday here with my parents. The house worked perfectly for us, particularly as my parents have limited mobility, so the elevator and the accessible master bath were essential. Beautiful location and gorgeous views. Well-stocked. Only issue (not even an issue really) is that the house is managed by a rental agency, which has different rules and payment deadlines than the owner. It was a bit confusing, but they were helpful when we called with questions (and we learned to mostly ignore the rental agencies' paperwork). Would love to stay there again - a perfect getaway!

This property was amazing! The owners were as well! Very responsive and helpful. There are large upper and lower balconies with gorgeous views! There’s a 1/2 bath right inside the door that is steps from the beach which was so nice and convenient. The bedrooms are big and comfy, especially the master. The kitchen is well stocked and everything was sparkling clean! I’m immune compromised so cleanliness is a must, and this home was very clean. There is a separate pantry that held all of our food items together. There’s a large dining table which was perfect for our Thanksgiving dinner, as well as every other dinner. This was a family trip with small grandchildren so we used the bbq grill and ate in most every night. TVs and Bluetooth speakers upstairs and down. There is an upper main living area that’s open to the kitchen and dining, and a separate lower living area with a wet bar, small refrigerator, foosball table, etc. The elevator was helpful for carrying heavy bags and groceries to the bedrooms and kitchen. Check-in and check-out was easy and convenient. This house was perfect for our family vacation!

A Sandcastle was the perfect place for our family vacation on St George. We had an easy check in and the house was immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. We had a few rainy days and the two spacious living areas gave us plenty of room to spread out. The house has a wonderful view of the ocean. The pool was a great addition and very convenient. We have stayed in many houses over the twenty years we have been coming to St George and this was definitely one of the best!

Very well kept and clean! We stayed at Sandcastle for a week and not even a single day went by, where we did not rave about this beautiful house! The kitchen was well stocked and the beds are extremely comfortable. Beach is right there and the view from the deck cannot be described in words. We will definitely book this house again!

This is a perfect property for a large group to stay at. There were 7 adults and 3 children in our group and everyone loved the property. The amenities and furnishings at "A Sandcastle" are first rate. It was so nice to have two living areas (one on the second floor and one on the third floor where our group could spread out. The kitchen and it's furnishings were very impressive, and loved the view from the third floor area. Being wheelchair - bound, the elevator was a godsend, and enabled me to traverse anywhere in the property. The community swimming pool essentially across the street was also a hit with our group. I really can't say enough nice things about this property, and would love to stay there again in the future. The owner of this property was very easy to communicate with, and went out of his way to provide me with information related to accessibility for wheelchair use and other details. Thank you for allowing us to stay at this wonderful property.

We were a group of 10 including adults and teens. The house and location were great. We found pictures and descriptions to be accurate. If anything, the interior looks much better in person. In particular, we loved the hall pantry giving us a convenient space to store food without having to disrupt the organization of kitchen cabinets. Bedrooms had large empty closets giving plenty of space to stow empty coolers and bags. Our teens loves the hot tub. Beds comfortable. Kitchen well stocked (but if you are cooking for a crowd, you might want to bring a large skillet with you and if you are baking, a good set of measuring spoons). One thing the description doesn't make clear is that there are two half baths: One is on the upper living level, the other is ground level right off the water. I booked directly with the owner through vrbo but home is actually managed by a local management company. Management company sent loads of emails that didn't apply to me, but they were very nice every time I called with a question. House turns on Sunday. Many others that are surrounding are also rentals turning on Saturday. Not that it ever felt crowded, but we had the beach to ourselves on Saturday which was very nice.

We had such a wonderful time at The Sandcastle. The home was beautifully appointed and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the kitchen and were surprised to see the quality of things like the kitchen knives, cutlery, flatware etc. Most rental homes don't have that level of quality, we really noticed the difference here and the care taken to furnish The Sandcastle with really good stuff. SGI is fantastic and the house's location on it is wonderful - right on the beach but not crowded at all! I walked for hours on the beach with the state park located next door. The pool is a great escape from the wind when the area has those days. The kitchen is so easy to prepare a meal in, especially with all of the counter space and room to move about. The house is filled with so many plates, cutlery, pots, pans, etc., everything you need. The bar in the lower family room with a fridge is a huge plus! Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom and the 3 teenagers had the bunk room and bathroom with the 2 sink rooms -- great addition to the floor plan. Lots of deck room on both levels and the under the house area with the hot tub, shower, fish sink and counter, grill is fantastic!! So easy to bring up all the beach stuff and keep right under the house. The ground level bathroom is an excellent feature as well! I highly recommend St George Island and this house. Our families enjoyed it very much. We traveled with a total of 3 families each bringing their youngest child (17, 17 and 18) for spring break.

We were blown away with how nice the place was! The pictures don't do justice to how spacious it is. There were more amenities than listed and they took their additional cleaning protocols for Covid very seriously. I would absolutely stay again if I was planning another trip to FL.

I rented this house to enjoy a beach experience with my children and grandchildren. We were not disappointed. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out and do their own thing when they wanted to. And the common area was large enough for all of us to gather and have fun, family time. To say this was a perfect house would be an understatement! It is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is stocked better than my own. We went with 3 families and our kids and it was great! All the adults had a master with their own bathroom and the kitchen, family room and dining room were big enough for all of us! The beach was beautiful and the dolphins were a big plus! The kids had fun fishing as well. We rented a kayak from Jolly Roger- was also a lot of fun. Enjoyed the Blue Parrot for lunch and did our own bar crawl with apps to celebrate a birthday- went to Blue Parrot, Doc Meyers which was excellent and Paddy's Oyster bar had the best oysters we had ever had! Finished the night at Harry A's which had a great band- still home by 11 :) All in all I would give this house and our vacation a 10!

A Sandcastle was amazing! This house is beautiful and had everything that my family of 5 needed. The views were breathtaking. The house is located in a wonderful gated subdivision (Sunset Beach) that was very peaceful, quiet, private, and secure. Located just steps away from the entrance of the State Park, we rented bikes and rode into the park a couple times during our stay. The beach was gorgeous and the dolphins would swim past the house several times per day. Everything in the house is high end quality. NOTHING cheap! From the furniture, appliances, utensils, dishes, etc. The owners have thought of everything that you may possibly need during your stay. This is a true gem in vacation rental homes!

This place is as advertised - a gem of a beach home, and not a single problem. Warm and comfortable, beautiful living room on the top floor with a spacious and functional kitchen. Comfortable furniture, and everything you need to cook large meals and clean up. The Master was fantastic as was the big master bathroom. Everything is supersized in this place. Each room is decorated and arranged nicely with plenty of room. There is storage in virtually every corner of the place if you need it. Once we learned the channel lineup of the service provider (owner should leave a sheet),we loved the televisions and the speakers. Had no problem with getting WIFI, internet. The hot tub was clean and thankfully hot since it was cold when we were there. We did not try the pool. The place is laid out real nicely with lots of attention to detail that frankly I do not see in most places. The view is as expected - stunning - right on the water. This was our first time in Sunset beach and we enjoyed the location, the gated community and the property. They undersell that location next to the state park. I've come to St George for 20 years and never been to the park until last month and what an amazing unspoiled place with gigantic dunes and unique scenery. I highly recommend a walking adventure when the weather is warm. It was every bit the nice place we thought it would be and I would highly recommend it to other customers.

We loved this place. Came for a couple days and this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in. Love the view from the balcony, the kitchen, the master, and the large seating area. The master bathroom is nice and plenty big for 2. The greatroom up top is really a nice touch.

My family of four joined a family of four and a family of two for our Spring Break. The space is beautiful and comfortable with easy access to the beach and the pool. We had a beautiful view of the gulf. This property is located close to the state park which gave us more privacy with less passersby. The house has plenty of room for everyone to feel at home. Our young boys had a space to watch Pokemon while the girls played with dolls and the adults could prepare meals without interruption. This is a great house for your next family holiday with extended family or reunion with old friends.

What a beautiful house! We've been coming to St George for over 20 years and this trip was one of the most memorable. Our grandchildren were giddy all week! You couldn't ask more for a beach house. The spacious well equipped kitchen made meals fun. The second floor worked amazingly for all the kids with the many bedrooms and separate living area. The pool is just steps from the back door. The ambiance was enhanced by the speaker system and the house is beautifully decorated. A week full of great memories!!

We stayed at this immaculate home over Easter weekend for a last-minute family getaway. This home is in a perfect location at the end of SGI close to the State Park entrance in a beautiful gated community with a pool and everything we could have wanted. The beautiful third story porch is perfect for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the dolphins play in the Gulf at sunset. The beach was so clean and quiet, it was like having our own private beach for the whole weekend. The interior of the house is equally as beautiful as the beach views. The Master Suite was amazing and we loved the open floor plan. The setup would also be perfect for multiple families and families with older kids with a totally separate living area on the second floor for the kids. This house has EVERYTHING! We can't wait to go back.

We rented this beachfront property "Sandcastle" at the last minute and were nervous that it was available on short notice. Our fears were unfounded. This isn't a vacation beach house. This is a beautiful home on the beach. We stay at Saint George Island every other year, rotating between the island and Grayton Beach. This place is a gorgeous home - one of the top 2 or 3 we have ever rented in 20 years. It is spacious, lots of storage for clothes, food, boards, fishing gear and other stuff. The rooms are large and appear to be freshly decorated and painted. The floors are smooth and awesome, and with some character fading here and there. Kids rooms are well laid out as are the other masters. Wifi and phones all work well and the TV has about 500 channels. The overall condition of the property is wonderful. The Master bedroom is warm, large and perfect with a great master bathroom. The wood ceilings in the living room and the master are a nice touch I have rarely seen at the beach. The open plan was great for us as we had several large dinners in the living area. The kitchen is large, beautiful and has everything you need for big dinners so long as you bring your spices and condiments. Everything is in good working order, even the ice machine. My husband had a hard time working the remote in the beginning, but once he figured it out, everyone was very happy with all the TVs in the house. We have never stayed near the state park, but spent time there - what an unspoiled beauty everyone should see. My husband took our kids to fish the end of the park and they had an blast for $12. The fish cleaning station downstairs is nice but they need a new head on the outdoor shower as its a little weak. Also the air A/C controls are confusing but eventually we figured them out. The kids swam in the pool and hot tub constantly and both very nice and well maintained. We liked that the pool was about 100 yards away. And everything about the place was beautiful, impeccably decorated and clean. The management company the owner deals uses is nice, professional and prompt and fortunately we did not have to call them about anything. We will be coming back to this property in the future if it is available. We were very happy and would recommend the home without hesitation.

Not our first time at Sunset Beach - stayed for 3 nights. Some places are hit and miss and this place was a hit. Love the design, the large layout and the kitchen, and the master bedroom is simply amazing - especially the spacious master shower with the multiple shower heads. The view is excellent and the place looks close to brand new. The community pool is large and well maintained and the hot tub was functional and clean. Loved the WIFI strength and the cell phone booster. No dropped calls when I was inside. The outdoor shower could use a new shower head but thats my only complaint. We will stay here again. This is a premier property.

My family visited St. George Island for Spring Break and stayed in the beautiful home. The view is stunning , one you can enjoy from many areas in the home. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Our children and guests had plenty of room to enjoy games with each other and private, relaxing time as well. We loved having two gathering spaces and a kids bunk room. This is definitely a top vacation rental home!

We are frequent travelers to SGI but usually rent the larger homes in "the plantation" on the west end of the island. Overall: This is our first time staying on the east end and we were pleasantly surprised. The home is magnificent, especially the master bedroom. I would hire this builder to construct my home in a heartbeat. We were told the owner recently upgraded the technology and it is indeed all brand new. It may be a bit of overkill to put brand new TVs in all of the rooms, but to each his own. I did appreciate the cell phone booster as we had not a single dropped call - a pet peeve of mine when we stay in the Plantation. The views from the home are spectacular, and we loved the kitchen. For once in my life, everything in the place worked and we didn't have to call anyone. Lots of storage in the closets and the bedrooms. The place looks essentially brand new all around. I also loved the proximity to the pool - which is warm by the way, enabling kids to swim in the cold which I liked. Pool is about a 40 second walk. The bad: Nothing bad about our stay. I would say the hot tub cover is a bit cumbersome to pull off and really requires 2 people. But it is very large and nice. I wish we had more time there and we will book in the future. Overall I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked staying here. I was very worried I would not like the "other end" of the island. I liked it and we biked into the state park twice. Interestingly enough, it was faster to get to the center of the island from this home than it was staying in the planation. Would recommend this property and look forward to returning.

Mike, there is no such thing as too many televisions. :) And thank you for your kind review. The owners who constructed the home did a magnificent job with detail and kept it in phenomenal condition. We plan on doing the same for our family and for our guests. As to the hot tub cover, we agree it can be difficult and it definitely requires 2 people. Also agree on biking in the state park. The state park is one of Florida's unspoiled beauties to walk or bike. Thanks for being our guests and please come again!

This property is amazing. Everything you could possibly need, you'll find in this gorgeous home. It is perfect for everything from large family gatherings to smaller family vacation retreats. There are lots of indoor and outdoor areas to gather in. The large, beautiful dining room table is great for meals, games, and conversations. The elevator was an added bonus for bringing items in and out of the house, and it also worked so well for older family members. In addition to the beach, we loved having the clubhouse pool so close to the house. Whether you have a family member who wants to spend time on the beach, at the clubhouse pool, in the hot tub, exploring beautiful St. George Island, curled up indoors reading a book, enjoying a beautiful sunrise or sunset from one of the many balconies, cooking a special family meal, or watching a sporting event or tv show, this house can accommodate everyone. Not every house can do that! We will definitely stay here again!
