Flew The Coop

My husband and I stayed at Flew the Coop from May 6-20th, 2023. Location is everything to us. The Cozy Coop is located inside the Plantation in an ideal beach front location with direct beach access via a shared walkway. The ocean is front and center in this home. It can be seen from the living room, kitchen, and two first floor king bedrooms. The front deck includes ample quality seating to eat lunch or simply watch and listen to the ocean. A separate laundry room has a washer and dryer that worked well. The appliances are older but worked fine. There is rust inside the freezer if this bothers you. The home is located near one of the many interconnecting walking paths, which we used everyday. We are avid walkers. We used the hot tub one day only. It is like new and worked perfectly. It is important to know that although this home was perfect for us, it may not be for very large families. The home is more of a cottage than most of the large beach homes on the island. We have stayed in many of them. This one has more of a cozy vibe. Although it has three bedrooms and a kids bunk room, there is only one standard size living room (one couch & two chairs) and one kitchen (with counter seating) which I considered small (not more than two people could comfortably cook in the kitchen). This means there is limited places for more than six people to comfortably \'gather\' inside the home. There is a separate dining room where a family could sit at the table to play board games or do a puzzle. If having family \'gathering\' space is important to you, this home provides limited space. This also means that although you could sleep 6 adults in beds and their children in the bunkroom, you would have a very full living room when not sleeping. The other thing to know is the stairs leading to the main level of the home are steep for older adults and in ill repair. There are a couple of the steps (boards) that need fixed. We loved the house so much we will return.

This house is amazing! As you drive up the driveway you feel like your at a private resort w all the palm trees. Your literally steps away from the beach. The bunk room is a kids dream set up! Along w the pool table upstairs. Every master bedroom has a king bed which makes it great for all. We stayed on the covered back porch most of the time we were there if not at the beach. The flow of the house is perfect and the views from all rooms and kitchen are stunning. Will for sure come back!

Flew the Coup was the perfect home away from home for our multi-generational family trip to St. George. The house layout was ideal with three spacious main bedrooms, each having a view and direct access to a deck. (The main covered deck was the perfect hang out spot any time of day.) I stayed in the upstairs bedroom and loved my private mini deck up there. The bedding was super comfy and gave me the feeling of a nice hotel, and the bathrooms all looked like they had been recently remodeled. The kids stayed in the bunk room, which was on point for them to crash and have their own space. (But they were almost always outside—beach, community pool, trails, bikes, fishing, back porch) The vibe and decor of the house made me feel like I was on a getaway / vacation; yet, it wasn’t stuffy at all. It was very comfy. For our extended family, it had the right blend of open floor plan / togetherness, meets, you have your own private space. The location on the island was ideal for us. It was tucked away yet close enough to island conveniences. We already feel safe on St. George, but the manned gate added another layer. It was a super easy walk from the house down the wooden boardwalk to hit the sand and water. (It felt like the beach was ours alone—no fighting for space at all!) Grandparents often stayed on the deck soaking in the views and salty air. Other highlights… >My husband’s favorite was the hot tub! >The kids loved the Pac-man game in the bunk room. >We called and got a quick response to get one of the included bikes changed to a smaller bike size. >I found several large olive shells about ankle deep the week I was there.

Location on island and the view were great. Loved the swing on porch and the hot tub. We thought it was a great time for all of us.

Insta-worthy property- gorgeous but not fussy. The covered porch is as nice as the interior, and we used it a ton. The house layout was perfect for our multi-gen trip. 2 masters and bunk rooms downstairs, and another master upstairs that was a perfect for the grandparents. Great location in the Plantation- only a few streets from gatehouse, so quick access to restaurants and shops. We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back!

This beach home is perfect for families or several couples. It has a great layout with an open floor plan. Its living room, kitchen, and king bedrooms all have an amazing view of the beach. Newly renovated bathrooms and comfortable beds welcome you inside. The porch that goes along the entire beach side of the home will become your favorite spot. We enjoyed our stay at Flew the Coup!
