With no adjacent houses, this secluded retreat pampers you with extraordinary views of St. Joseph Bay and amazing amenities. A private dock provides you with Bay access for kayaking, boating, swimming, fishing, and snorkeling. Relax in the pool or enjoy the view from your private hot tub. The entire property is designed for entertaining, allowing for a large group gathering or that quiet hideaway for a little “me” time.

A handicap ramp from the exterior ground level to the second level's screened porch makes easy access for those with mobility issues.

The sunrise view from this bayside deck is so spectacular, it was featured in the Atlanta Southeast Airlines magazine article featuring the Forgotten Coast.

Each level of the home’s interior provides a separate kitchen, dining, living, sleeping and laundry area; and a full-length Bayfront screened porch provides seating and dining areas with endless views. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, this bayfront vacation home located on the north cape accommodates 15.

To assist in your adventure at Private Reserve, your reservation includes $250 worth of adventure gear rental, delivery fee may apply. Whether your adventure is sitting under an umbrella on the white-sandy beaches, biking, or fishing from a kayak in the Bay, this $250 credit towards your vacation gear rental will ensure you have the adventure you seek. You will be able to shop for bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, or even beach carts. No need to find the rental company, your gear will be delivered to your beach house and will be waiting for your arrival.

Private Reserve has easy access to the 8-mile Logger Head Walk/Bike Path, so those wanting to get their “FIT” on while on vacation have no excuse.

One large or two small dogs can be requested for an additional fee. Pool heats available for an additional fee (please note that pool heat will only raise the water temperature 10 degrees above the outside temperature). No events allowed that are over the occupancy of the house or that require a chaperone.

Enjoyed our stay
The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. The location on the bay is very private and quiet. The house was comfortably furnished.

Private Retreat
This was an amazing property. Well stocked with griddle, air fryer and amenities of home. Plenty of space with 2 living areas if needed. The bay was amazing with the kids able to walk knee deep in water catching crabs and finding seashells. Quick walk to beach.

A secluded oasis in paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for the entire month of Feb 2022 and had the time of our lives. The house was spotless upon arrival. The kitchen is the most well stocked kitchen of any rental home I’ve stayed in. The sunrises over the bay, enjoyed with a freshly brewed cup of coffee, were one of the highlights of the trip. Of course, driving or walking the 1/2 mile to the public beach access to the gorgeous gulf side and watching the sunset was also an almost daily occurrence. Our kids swam in the pool multiple times daily, even on the days us parents deemed it too cold. Highly recommend paying for pool heat, if needed. The pool stayed plenty warm enough for swimming even on some of the cooler days. If it got tad chilly, we warmed up in the hot tub while enjoying spectacular views of the bay. The fenced dog run was perfect for our fur baby, it was so nice to not worry about having to leash her each time she needed to go outside. In our opinion, the single best perk of Private Reserve is that you truly feel tucked in and away from the hustle and bustle. During Feb, there weren’t many bugs to speak of, but I’m sure in the warmer months that having everything screened in is a life saver. We SUP’ed and kayaked in the bay, so peaceful. Highly recommend this home!

Top Notch!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3rd year staying here... Experience warmer temperatures than previous years which in turn brought out new wildlife greetings us. Liked seeing the sea otters playing in the bay and the bald eagle fishing off the deck but not the coral snake warming itself by the hot tub. Pretty but too dangerous. Love the new couch coverings and the way the laughter is heard in every room that my big family is in. My dog and granddog loved visiting each other at the same time going potty together. Thankfully if it wasn't for the dogs being there our trip might have been sadly. They warn us of the snake. Praying that it is in God's plans we can return for a 4th year.

Home away from home including those with disabilities
This was our 11th rental and by far the best fit for our family. Wheelchair accessibility is a top priority for us. Our teenage grandson was able to be fully independent. An added bonus was the nearby state park that offered free beach wheelchairs for day use. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond helping us. While that was a top priority, the house (and area) had something for everyone ages 4 mos to 69. We loved being able to have the boat docked at the house.

Perfect
Beautiful place. Comfy accommodations. Well stocked with necessary kitchen items. Easy access to bay with beautiful dock. Short trek to the beach. Don’t recommend spending money on golf cart rentals because they don’t allow you to really use them on the cape. Can’t drive on road or multi use path. But that had nothing to do with rental property. Excellent parking options! I brought my boat and parked it at the doc. Dog yard fenced with easy access down ramp. What more can I say - don’t renovate next year and let me rent it again ;) Thanks for a wonderful 2 weeks!

Peace, love and memories

The layout is perfect for families and the decor is perfect!

Having our family pets with us was such a blessing!! Thank you for letting us have them with us. We loved being able to let the dogs go down to potty by themselves. This house is designed for peaceful times as well as times to come together for family time. Not one complaint!

Great family getaway!
Everything you need and then some, all in good repair. Screened-in porch running the width of the house overlooking the bay was the main hangout, as was the pool. I was a little uncertain about bay front vs beachfront but the bay was a bigger hit based on the amazing dock and clear shallow water. 1 minute walk to Scully’s for great gumbo and low country boil, 3 minute ride for groceries and Weber’s Donuts. Truly worthy of 5* review.

Dogs being there to love on every day. Pool Sand Kayaking Fire pit to make smores' Hide and seek- great place for this. Ping Pong on the dinning room table Not having to let the dogs out- the ability for them to go by their selves. A+ for whomever thought of this! Fishing Bunk beds Grill Hot Tub Peaceful and quiet- very private place Nature all around Good food around there The book on the coffee table with all the information in it! Balcony with all the family sitting and talking about their day and listen to a gentle rain and little storm in the background. Game night on New Years' Eve. Every appliance and kitchen tool you needed! Layout of the home Apartment below Whole north wing for one family Grandparents in opposite wing Screened in porches SO MANY, MANY, MORE BLESSINGS!!!! Terrific Vacation Spot

We easily launched fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding expeditions from our dock. We were thrilled at the variety of observable marine life while boating on the bay. The house itself was extremely comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with all the wares a large group might need to make meal preparation easy. Everyone agreed that we want to return to this special place.

All the details are covered for a fantastic large family venue. From the location, pool, hot tub and screened porches to the heavenly beds, blender, crockpot and great air conditioning we couldn't have asked for more!

Just beautiful. The dock still need repairs. Be careful with protruding nails and splinters. The solar lights on the deck were beautiful. Owners were very quick to respond to a needed broom and dust pan. We will be back. ,,!

A dream vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To say this is an amazing property/house is an understatement. The pictures posted do not do it justice. It is just gorgeous. Everything we needed was right there at the house so we didn't have to leave if we didn't want to. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub and the beach is just a short walk down the block and across the street. There is a nice little store and amazing seafood market about a quarter mile (short walk) from the house. And the family owned Skullys Low Country Boil at the end of the drive! (We got the seafood boil our first night there!) The drive to St. Joe isn't too far, if and when you need to go. The State Park is amazing and the wildlife preserve is a must-see for nature lovers. Beautiful sand dunes and pristine secluded beaches! I can promise you...we will be back! Thank you for this dream vacation!

Recent stay at Private Reserve

House was great, only issue was the hot water heater breaker tripped 3 times during stay and had to reset. Did not report it to mgt as it was already notated in rental book to reset if you had no hot water. I'm no electrician but appears to be an issue somewhere if it keeps tripping. Other than that everything was great with house, location and staff at Cape and Coast rentals. Would rent again and also recommend to others esp if you have a large group of family and friends.
