Loved the way the house was laid iut for a family of 6 plus a toddler. It worked perfect!! The place was truly set up so you needed nothing but yourselves snd food. Loved all the outdoor space and equipment!! The house was very clean and the kitchen fully stocked!! Loved the outdoor shower and restroom!! On the beach was a must for us and it was perfect!! Just a great place to vacation!!

Great location, amazing views from the deck, nice heated pool with very nice patio furniture, nice hot tub with view for when it was colder, the ice maker was great, very nice interior setup with each bedroom having its own nicely updated bathroom, very nicely stocked kitchen with all the essentials. We had great communication with representatives both through email and text with very timely responses.

South Wind is a cozy, charming house, great for three couples. The heated pool was a special surprise!, the well equipped kitchen felt like home and the convenient location is walking distance to the Blue Pig and Blue Parrot, if anyone needs a little exercise. The furniture in the spacious living room was very comfortable and there were enough sofas and chairs for everyone to claim their “nest” for the week. Lot’s of outside sitting area, plus a porch swing. There was firewood for the fire pit, a gas grill and two small charcoal grills. Ice was plentiful from the commercial ice maker. This home was obviously designed by someone who knew how to enjoy the beach!

We have been coming to SGI for years. This was our first trip in February (escaped winter weather in Indiana). We love St George Island. Your beautiful home, directly on the ocean, is perfect in every way. Thank you for sharing it and making our stay comfortable and relaxing. The sun rises are breath-taking. Listening to the ocean from the swing, enjoying the stars from the hot-tub or heated pool was awesome and allowed for some much needed rest. Would love to visit again. The week always passes too quickly and this trip was no exception. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

The accommodations were beautiful and had everything we needed and more! We greatly enjoyed our combo beach and pool days, while our nights were spent looking at the amazing stars. We even walked a couple times to "town" which was fun and easy. We loved every minute!

Our stay has been wonderful and very relaxing. Our kids don't want to go back home in the snow!!! (and cold!!!) We will recommend this place to our friends and family! It's a long drive to get here but it's worth it! Un paradis sur terre. Merci pour tous oes beaux souvenirs!!!

What a special place you have here. So comfortable and well appointed. Thank you for sharing this slice of Heaven. We will treasure our slow and relaxing time here. Grandma read 4+ books, kids swam and swam, and Mom and Dad thoroughly enjoyed soaking it all in. Sadly, back to the snow.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at South Wind and exploring all SGI has to offer! Between the panoramic ocean views, dolphin watching, ample time relaxing by the private pool and beach, crab hunting at night, and staying in a fully stocked, beautifully designed beachfront property, we simply couldn't have asked for anything more! Your attention to detail didn't go unnoticed! This was our first time staying in SGI, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Heaven with our family. This was our 4th girl’s trip to the South Wind and it never disappoints! We love the private suites for each of us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We usually started our day at the beach and ended at the pool—which is very private with the large palm trees on each side. Don’t forget to stargaze after the sun goes down! Whether in the hot tub or on the sun deck, the sky and the stars are just so bright and beautiful. We have already booked for next year. Thank you Lauri and Rob for sharing this very special place with us.

We have visited SGI several times and this was by far the nicest home we've stayed in. You can't beat the location. The pool and hot tub were great additions and we used them frequently. We had one minor issue and both the owner and property manager were VERY quick to respond and help. I highly recommend staying here.

The owner has made this house such a welcoming place with many extra touches that make you feel at home when you walk in the door! The kitchen equipment is plentiful and very nice quality. The linens are luxurious. The salt water pool is amazing. One of our favorite features is the large cypress wood table on one deck facing the ocean. This is where we ate our meals. Southwind is right on the beach and we would highly recommend it!!

What a wonderful week we had at Southwind! This property is 5 star all around! Well appointed, CLEAN and fresh with comfy areas to relax, amazing views from all the deck space! Plenty of room and privacy for our friend group of three couples! Wonderful covered outdoor dining area for early breakfasts watching dolphins playing right off the beach front or sunset dinners and card games! This home is a treasure and St George’s Island is not to be missed for a relaxing laidback beach stay.

SGI has been our favorite get away for the last three years. This year was even more special as we went through Hurricane Ian in our hometown. We had family and friends stay throughout the week and there is plenty of room for all! The beds are super comfy and roomy. My teenagers especially enjoyed having their own balcony upstairs. This was our first trip to St George Island and we somehow found this gem as we were looking for a place to stay. We have been beach vacationing for over 35 years in NC. This home was not even comparable to any of the beachfront homes we have stayed in. Towels, sheets, lots of beach towels were all provided, so nice not having to rent or bring our own. The house was spotless, the beds were amazingly comfortable ( I wanted to bring the matresses home!) The layout of the house is perfect. The pool was beautiful and warm enough to swim every day we were there. The hot tub so inviting under the stars. The kitchen had anything we needed with top of the line appliances. It was obvious from the moment we walked in that the owner truly wants her guests to feel at home with just about anything and everything you could possibly need right down to hair dryers in every bathroom. The gift basket was over the top and such a nice surprise along with all the little extras we found in the kitchen and bathrooms. The walkway to the beach and beautiful. decks...we thoroughly enjoyed it all. We contacted the owner with questions before our visit and during and she was so nice and so quick to answer us. We really didn't know what to expect when we decided on a beach vacation in January but it was amazingly relaxing and we are already set up to return to our new favorite island and our new favorite vacation home next winter.

Every amenity we could imagine having was included. Every little detail of this house and property is upscale: smart TVs, wifi, Bluetooth speakers, lighted & heated hot tub & pool, Kohler toilets and faucets, touchless kitchen faucet, granite countertops, amazingly comfortable mattresses, beautiful architecture with lots of angles and vaulted ceilings, two-tone beams and wood ceilings, a private outdoor shower, excellent upscale Kuerig with a big selection of k-cups, every kitchen utensil and appliance you could ever need, even a wonderful gift basket full of goodies was waiting for us when we arrived. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell it was the best beach experience our family has ever had, and we’ve been going to various beaches since the 70’s.

This was our first stay at Southwind but not our first stay at SGI. This home is a gem. It feels special as soon as you walk in the door and was a beautiful and peaceful refuge for our family. The owner has done an amazing job creating a special haven. Highly recommend this home to others.

I don't have the words to describe how amazing this place was. It's the best place I ever stayed. I truly believe it's the best house on the island. The pictures do not do this place justice. Everything was extremely clean and updated. There were so many small touches we noticed here too. It's a very well stocked house with as many kitchen things as you need. Not only that but they were very high quality items as well and all looked brand new. The house is right on the beach and the pool is amazing. I've never stayed anywhere as great as here and hope I can be back many times in the future.

We were overwhelmed with the cleanliness of the house! Fully stocked with everything we needed. Even a super cute cooler gift basket with delicious snacks! The beds were amazingly comfortable. The steps from the porch to the beach were so few that it made me feel as if I were waking up right on the beach. The privacy this home offers is off the charts. The hot tub and pool were very relaxing. The pool had colorful lights for night time swimming and our kids truly enjoyed that the most. The town is half a mile away and we enjoyed being able to walk to our favorite restaurant, the blue parrot, just right down the beach. The town has many fun things to do and check out. We rented a boat and took it down the Apalachicola river and parked the boat at the docks of Half Shell dockside restaurant. Delicious food! We also had the local pizza restaurant, BJs pizza, cook us up some fabulous pizza and sandwiches quite a few times. 10/10 for this trip. The first time our kids have ever expressed how badly they wanted to STAY and live here forever. Can’t say we blame them. It was AMAZING. Looking forward to coming again some day. It was very spacious for the 10 of us. Five adults and five children. Ages 5-14. It accommodated all of our needs.

Beautiful house, fully stocked and comfortable! Lots of beach toys and gear already there. A very thoughtful gift basket was left for our arrival. We could tell that the owners really love their property. Beds were clean and comfortable as were the couches and living space. We loved how close it was to the beach! Best spring break we have had with our friends and family.

The property is even better than the listing describes. We stay at a lot of properties and this property is top 5 easily. The kitchen is completely stocked, they actually give you garbage bags and toilet paper and those normal things humans need! If you’ve stayed at other places you know what I mean! The house is clean and decorated with tasteful modern touches while keeping the integrity of the homes bones. High ceilings and exposed beams, en-suite bathrooms in every room, gorgeous decks and sweet little nooks complete this fabulous property. I almost don’t want to post this because I want to be able to book it again and worry it will be booked solid! The owners left a sweet little gift bag to welcome us.

This is a beautiful home that is even more beautiful than its pictures if that is possible. The beds were very comfortable. The heated pool wonderful. The views were amazing! The walkway to the beach was wonderful and made access to the beach so easy. The patio/pool furniture comfortable and clean! It was just my husband and I, but this would be a perfect house for 4 couples. Each would have their own amazing bedroom suite with wonderful bathrooms and deck access or private balconies. The living room, kitchen were open with plenty of seating for everyone to gather. We have one word for this house: amazing and wonderful!

I was looking for a relaxing time away and I got it! The beach, the pool, the hot tub, and the sunsets from the deck. I loved the porch swing outside of the master bedroom. Not once did I say, "I wish they had this or that." If my suitcase had been bigger, I might have come home with a few kitchen items and a few decor items. The house had any beach or pool toy/float that you wanted. I didn't leave the house but I saw bikes and golf carts going up down the road. If you want to buy bulk groceries, you might want to stop before getting to the island. I would rent this house again without hesitation.

This location is truly perfect. The house was fantastic with new, heated pool and new hot tub. Room for 6 adults and 3 kids under 3 with no problem. Lots of amenities on property. TONS of towels. Used washer/drier a lot! Deck is amazing. Beach even more so. Lots of kitchen utensils. Stocked Keurig coffees.

Can't imagine a better place to stay on St. George Island - we are truly grateful to the owners for sharing this gem! You have wall-to-wall views of the ocean in the kitchen/main room and every bedroom also has a perfect view of the ocean - we saw dolphins on several occasions! The house has every amenity (great Bose speaker system, sheets and towels like a high end hotel, every utensil and pot you might want in the kitchen, etc.) and the hot tub and heated pool really put this stay above and beyond other beach-side homes. The gear rental included was also key - we had bikes delivered to the house. The interior design is gorgeous and fun - loved the turtles on the high wooden ceiling. Only thing to note - do bring warm clothes if it is chilly, as HVAC is set up more for AC (cool air to fall down) and the heater really only warmed the upstairs. Though we visited on an unseasonably cold and rainy week, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the beautiful space, views, hot tub, and beach walks.

We had an amazing time at this property. We have rented many beach houses and this is one of the best. The location is perfect. The house was sparkling clean and was well equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub and pool were wonderful amenities.. We were not familiar with the area and were very pleased with the location of the property. The beach is gorgeous - great for walking, shelling and relaxing. We loved St. George Island State Park too. It was a great escape from the cold weather in Chicago. Just a note that many people do not wear masks here which is just something to be aware of.

From beach and pool towels to K-cups, kitchen supplies, DirecTV, patio furniture, fire pit with wood, and excellent cleanliness, your place was wonderful. You should be really proud of your property.
